Kryptonomicon is an Italian old school thrash/black band, originally from Monfalcone in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The band was born in August 2019, inspired by early Celtic Frost and the typical sound of extreme 80s bands such as Possessed, Slayer, Sodom, Destruction, Hellhammer.
On 31 October 2019 the first EP entitled “To The Abyss” was released, in the spring of 2020 the second EP entitled “Morbid Return” was released in a deluxe version for Punishment 18 Records.
In July 2020 Kryptonomicon released their first official videoclip titled “The Experiment Of Dr.K”.
On November 26, 2021 Punishment 18 Records released Kryptonomicon’s first full length titled “Nekromantikos” containing ten songs and the Bauhaus cover “The Passion Of Lovers”; the artwork is by the painter Paolo Girardi.
On March 2, 2022, the band releases the new video clip of the song “Nocturnal Kill” taken from “Nekromantikos”.
During 2022 the band is engaged in the tour in support of the debut album, On October 30, Punishment 18 Records releases the acclaimed second album of Kryptonomicon entitled “Infernalia”, which contains ten songs and the cover of ‘Let’s Dance’ by David Bowie; the artwork is by Paolo Girardi.
In the first months of 2023 the singer Luca Sterle leaves the band for work reasons; Kryptonomicon therefore officially becomes a trio, the role of singer is now shared between Stefano (guitar) and Frank (bass).
