Eternal Tragedy
Biography

Eternal Tragedy is a technical death metal project founded by the Italian guitarist Stefania Ponzilacqua, between the end of 1999, beginning of 2000.
In 2001, the guitarist released her first work, a two track demo, entitled simply “Demo”.
In 2004, still without a line up, Stefania released a second two track demo, “Voice of Instinct”.
In 2005, the guitarist moved to the United States, looking for band members and starting to work on “Forever”, her first full length eight track album.
“Forever” was printed and produced in 2008 in Italy. The following year she returned to Italy. In between 2009/ 2010, she found a line up and took “Forever” to several live shows. In this period, Schecter Guitars proposed Stefania an endorsement, which she accepted. Thanks to this important endorsement, Eternal Tragedy could share the stage with bands such as Nervo Chaos (Brasil) and Ragnarok (Norway). This line up did not last because Stefania wanted  more for her project, but the rest of the band did not. The guitarist did not give up and decided to take her project, Eternal Tragedy, to Greece hoping to be more lucky, and she had been. She started to work on her second nine track full length album, “Origin”, that had been recorded in Athens starting in 2021, during the pandemic that we all know. Stefania here found a vocalist, Giwrgos Karakatsanis, who is a permanent member of the project/band, while drums and bass were performed by session musicians. Stefania is the composer, guitar player and lyricist for “Origin”, as for all the previous releases.  “Origin” has been released on digital version only in 2023, getting very good reviews on several webzines, among all, Brutalism and Rock Hard Greece .

“Origin” was mixed, mastered and recorded at Greek Soundway Studios
