BLACK PHANTOM: New Guitarist Announced!

Black Phantom, one of the leading forces of the Italian Traditional Heavy Metal scene, are proud to officially announce the addition of Frank Lombardo as their new guitarist.

This marks the official return of Black Phantom after a few months break, and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the band, ready to set stages ablaze once again with renewed energy.

With over 20 years of experience, ranging from the three albums released with his original band Myriad Lights (Mark of Vengeance, 2012; Kingdom of Sand, 2016; Lambda, 2023), to collaborations with other acts such as Highlord (Hic sunt Leones, 2016), Frank brings to the band a unique mix of technique, class, and personality that perfectly blends with Black Phantom’s DNA, further enhancing their signature Heavy Metal sound.

“Joining Black Phantom is both a pleasure and an honor,” says Frank Lombardo. “I’m more than ready and motivated to build something important together with my new bandmates!”

“With Frank by our side,” adds Andrea Tito, bassist and leader of Black Phantom, “we are ready to raise the bar of our musical vision even higher. This is just the beginning of the Metal storm that will be our next album. We truly can’t wait to make ourselves heard again!”

Black Phantom are now preparing to hit the stage very soon, to showcase their new line-up live, while also working on the songwriting process for their fourth album, the follow-up to their highly acclaimed Horror Paradise (Punishment 18 Records, 2024).

I milanesi Black Phantom, formazione di punta della scena Traditional Heavy Metal italiana, sono orgogliosi di annunciare l’ingresso ufficiale di Frank Lombardo come nuovo chitarrista.

Questo segna a tutti gli effetti la ripresa delle attività dei Black Phantom dopo qualche mese di pausa, nonché l’inizio di un nuovo capitolo sonoro per la band, pronta a tornare a infiammare i palchi con energia rinnovata.

Con un background ventennale che spazia dai tre album pubblicati con la sua band originale Myriad Lights (Mark of Vengeance, 2012; Kingdom of Sand, 2016; Lambda, 2023), fino a collaborazioni con altri gruppi come gli Highlord (Hic sunt Leones, 2016), Frank porta nella band un mix di tecnica, classe e personalità che si fondono perfettamente con il DNA dei Black Phantom, arricchendone ulteriormente il tradizionale sound Heavy Metal.

“Entrare a far parte dei Black Phantom è un piacere ed un onore,” dichiara Frank Lombardo, “Sono prontissimo e motivato a costruire qualcosa di importante con i miei nuovi compagni di gruppo!”

“Con Frank al nostro fianco,” aggiunge Andrea Tito, bassista e leader dei Black Phantom, “siamo pronti per alzare ancora l’asticella della nostra proposta musicale. Questo è solo l’inizio della tempesta metal che sarà il nostro prossimo album. Non vediamo davvero l’ora di tornare a farci sentire!”

I Black Phantom si preparano quindi a tornare prestissimo sui palchi, per presentare la nuova formazione anche in sede live, così come sono già operativi con la scrittura dei nuovi brani che faranno parte del loro quarto album, successore del fortunato ed apprezzato Horror Paradise (Punishment 18 Records, 2024).
