AnthenorA: all about the artistic album artwork!
The artistic partnership established between Anthenora and Germana Eucalipto was born spontaneously: she’s a celebrated sculptor from Sanfront (CN – Italy) who always moved between the metaphors of various existential stages, seeking a connection between the physical world and the psychical dimension, among dynamic tensions of existence, by representing enveloping bodies, figures folded in on themselves, twisted and interpenetrated bodies, opposites that find temporary meeting points, necks reaching towards the sky in a positive momentum dedicated to life, absorbed and distant faces, Essences, Absences … clay as a matrix of passions , anxieties, of the naked splendor of fatality, of the inner essence of being.
The entire artwork of Mirrors and Screens is based on images of Germana Eucalipto’s sculptures left to float in a sort of “primordial soup”, an indefinite environment that allows everyone to savor and internalize its message on the most intimate and personal level. Likewise, the location where the video clip of the single “30th” is set (Anfiteatro dell’Anima – Cervere CN – Italy) is dominated by a 7 meter high installation by the artist herself: here the integration of the introspective message with the need to exhibit both their art and themselves reaches its best, the quiet reflection typical of sculpture enhanced by the catalyzing power of rock!”

“Mirrors and Screens”, il nuovo e quarto capitolo discografico degli heavy metaller italiani AnthenorA sarà disponibile a partire dal prossimo 27 novembre via Punishment 18 Records. Di seguito informazioni dalla band sul concept dell’artwork e sull’artista che lo ha realizzato:
“Il bisogno di sentirsi vivi e di affermare sé stessi, i contrasti e le contraddizioni della società contemporanea, l’amore per la verità in quanto valore assoluto, uno sguardo sardonico e disilluso sul mondo che ci circonda…ed il dubbio, il tormento interiore che deriva dall’interazione di questi elementi: in sintesi l’ambiente intorno al quale si muovono la maggior parte delle liriche di Mirrors and Screens.
Nasce spontaneo il sodalizio artistico stabilitosi fra Anthenora e Germana Eucalipto, celebrata scultrice di Sanfront (CN) che da sempre si muove fra le metafore di vari stadi esistenziali, ricercando una connessione fra mondo fisico e dimensione psichica, fra tensioni dinamiche dell’esistenza, attraverso corpi involucro, figure ripiegate su se stesse, corpi contorti, compenetrati, opposti che trovano temporanei punti d’incontro, colli protesi verso il cielo in uno slancio positivo dedicato alla vita, volti assorti e distanti, Essenze, Assenze… l’argilla come matrice di passioni, angosce, del nudo splendore della fatalità, dell’essenza interiore dell’essere.
L’intero artwork di Mirrors and Screens si basa su immagini delle sculture di Germana Eucalipto lasciate fluttuare in una sorta di “brodo primordiale”, un ambiente indefinito che permette a ciascuno di assaporarne ed interiorizzarne il messaggio al livello più intimo e personale. Così pure, la location dov’è ambientato il videoclip del singolo “30th” (Anfiteatro dell’Anima – Cervere CN) è dominata da un’installazione alta 7 metri opera della stessa artista: qui si sublima l’integrazione del messaggio introspettivo con la necessità di esporre tanto la propria arte quanto sé stessi, la quieta riflessione tipica della scultura esaltata dalla forza catalizzante del rock!”
