BLACK PHANTOM: New details about movie soundtracks song
BLACK PHANTOM from Italy, right after the recent release in Cassette Tape format of their two albums “BETTER BEWARE!” (2017) e “ZERO HOUR IS NOW” (2020) by the label Reborn Through Tapes Records under licence of Punishment 18 Records, have just disclosed new details about their forthcoming participation to the soundtracks of many independent feature films in US and UK.
“This winter, as soon as the lockdown allow us to do it” says Andrea Tito, bass player and leader of the band, “we will get back into the studio, in order to start recording new unreleased songs, that are going to be featured in the soundtracks of many movies that will be released in the second half of 2021. In the meantime, already starting from Christmas, some other films will include Black Phantom songs taken from our two albums. We are really excited about these new collaborations!”
The first announced movies are the following:
- ‘CREATURES’, a sci-fi horror-comedy directed by Tony Jopia, due out in UK at Christmas 2020, will feature the track “Hordes of Destruction”. The movie has been recently selected for the Other Worlds Film Festival of Austin, Texas, the most important Sci-Fi festival of the USA.

- ‘CHARLIE’, a horror/thriller directed by Eric Scot for AH 100 Entertainment. Black Phantom contributed to the soundtrack with two songs (“Light Behind the Armour” and “Redemption”), and the first one will also have a specific Music Video, with footage of the band mixed with clips from the movie itself.

- ‘HE KNOWS’, a Christmas-themed horror, written and directed by Steven Morris, currently filming. Black Phantom will give 3 songs to this soundtrack: the first one will be a new, unreleased one and it will be the title track of the movie; the other two will be 2 tracks taken from the last album, “Either You or Me” and “Schattenjäger”. This last one will be also featured in the clip that will be soon released for the launch of the Indiegogo movie crowdfunding campaign.

- ‘SCHOOL HALL SLAUGHTER”, a ’80 style slasher/horror in stile anni ’80, written and directed by Huw Lloyd, that will be filmed in the UK next spring. The title track of the movie will be “The Road”, one of the most atmospheric songs of Black Phantom’s last album “Zero Hour is Now”.

I milanesi BLACK PHANTOM, freschi della ristampa in formato Cassetta dei loro due album “BETTER BEWARE!” (2017) e “ZERO HOUR IS NOW” (2020) da parte dell’etichetta Reborn Through Tapes Records su licenza Punishment 18 Records, hanno appena svelato nuovi dettagli su alcune delle loro imminenti partecipazioni a colonne sonore di film indipendenti stranieri (USA e UK).
“Questo inverno, non appena il lockdown ce lo consentirà” afferma il bassista Andrea Tito, leader della band, “torneremo in studio di registrazione, per iniziare ad incidere svariati brani inediti, destinati alle colonne sonore di diversi film, previsti per la seconda metà del 2021. Nel frattempo, già a partire da questo Natale, ne usciranno già altri con la presenza di brani tratti dai nostri album esistenti. Siamo davvero molto entusiasti di queste nuove collaborazioni!”
I primi film annunciati sono i seguenti:
- ‘CREATURES’, una sci-fi horror-comedy diretta da Tony Jopia, in uscita in UK a Natale 2020, che includerà il brano “Hordes of Destruction”. Il film è stato recentemente selezionato per l’Other Worlds Film Festival di Austin, in Texas, il festival di Sci-Fi più importante degli USA.

- ‘HE KNOWS’, un horror con ambientazione natalizia, scritto e diretto da Steven Morris, attualmente in lavorazione. Alla colonna sonora di questo film i Black Phantom daranno ben 3 canzoni: un pezzo nuovo ed inedito, che sarà il brano principale del film, più altri due tratti dal loro ultimo album, ossia “Either You or Me” e “Schattenjäger”. Quest’ultimo brano sarà utilizzato anche nella clip con i primi minuti del film che verrà presto rilasciata in occasione del lancio della campagna Indiegogo per il crowdfunding del film.

- ‘SCHOOL HALL SLAUGHTER”, uno slasher/horror in stile anni ’80, scritto e diretto da Huw Lloyd, che verrà girato in UK la prossima primavera. La title-track del film sarà “The Road”, ossia uno dei brani più atmosferici dell’ultimo album dei Black Phantom “Zero Hour is Now”.
